Vision and policy
The CGC will be led by Wim Koevoets. Wim is a qualified voice teacher, performing singer-guitar player, and director of several vocal groups. The choir will also offer its services to other churches and organisations and for other occasions, such as festivals, weddings and funerals. The choir is open to anyone who likes to sing, member of any church or not, but candidates will be screened on motivation and musical level. The repertoire is Christian, with an emphasis on American and African Gospel Music. All members can suggest songs, but the final selection is always by the director. For Church-services the program will always be discussed with the leading Pastors.

Weekly rehearsals take place
Wednesday from 20.00 to 22.00
In the Ontmoetingskerk, Diederikdreef 14 Tilburg

Rehearsals are roughly organised according to the following plan
20.00 voice and improvisation-training, lessons in theory
20.15 repertoire-building
21.00 drink-break
21.15 repertoire-building

The instrumental accompaniment during the rehearsals will be done by Wim Koevoets on guitar. For performances instrumentalists will be trained to accompany the choir. They will not be members of the choir, but will be selected by quality. If necessary, professional musicians can be hired for the band.

Singing lessons
Members of the choir can get individual singing and music lessons from Wim Koevoets at reduced prices. The lessons will be related to their spiritual development. The choir is also a basis for all kinds of other initiatives and activities such as song festivals and parties. Smaller groups with independent activities could be derived from the choir.
